yup, ytd was D&D!
helen came over at about 11 plus...then after lunch we look thru magazines to find hairstyles to do...i did helen's de lah, of course...haha...but it look so fragile (tho she said its not)...then she did mine...haha...she make until damn nice lah, i feel zi bei, like i kinda spoilt her hairstyle...XD
then mag and asha came over at about 4 plus also...mag got my block wrong, thought is the opp one or smthg...haha...i almost spoilt asha's makeup (since they had alrdy done theirs beforehand) cause she said her makeup disappear like, want to bu zhuang...so got me to put foundation on her, then she convince me that the colour should be okay...so i put one dot, and it isn't! so much diff from her skin colour! wah, then down there ping ming rub, hoping to spread the thing...luckily we tried it under her fringe, so it was also successfully covered under there...phew...
then we zi pai a bit in my room first before going off...and after D&D, my father fetched, did we realised that we were cheated by the taxi uncle! instead of going onto the expressway at the yck area, he went thru old thomson road lah! thru all the hdb blocks (according to asha, i wasn't exactly paying attention) and i dunno he got into the expressway thru which entrance lah...but we paid like $20.50 ($2 cause its peak)...btw, our D&D was at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, which the driver surprisingly know the location...
hai...then we reach there and register lor...then realised (cause earlier helen say my makeup very pink and asha and mag said it was a little) that under their lighting, my makeup was just right! haha, rocks...asha say hers, by the time the dinner start, her makeup was all gone alrdy...haha...helen keep asking is she very white (cause earlier in my room, i commented that she looked quite white...then later she also keep asking...haha...)
dinner...eight course i think...the cold dish - sushi, some ngoh hiang i think, baby octopus with pasta, some mushroom with dunno-is-that-meat-or-not thing and some other thing that i don't know what it is...followed by shark-fin soup, which was mainly mushroom and and some other junk...haha...then we got some chicken (which was better than the bai zhan ji in sec 4, btw) which was supposedly in red wine but we didn't taste any alcohol or wine taste at all...then prawn supposedly in herbs but no herbs taste, and the prawn wasn't peeled!! how the heck you expect us to eat lah!! then the waiter say the-thing-that-look-like-is-for-us-to-wash-hands-de is a sauce, dunno to believe or not...eh, i can't rmb the fish or the veg was first...but anyway, the fish was normal, but after the person cut and make it look very blehh, he just left it there for us to take ourselves, we were all like what the hell?! the veg was nice! the sauce, then mushroom and there were some thing that i think is supposed to be abalone, asha say its the vegetarian kind...haha...then its ee mian!! super nice! not dry and not too wet, then the taste also just right, yum...desert was yam with some sago thing de, then cause its the pagent finals and i wasn't exactly paying attention to eating, the person took the thing away before i could finish! and without asking me whether i still want or not!
the prom queen was quite expected, cause its some high profile plus pretty de person, so yar...the king...ehhh...nvm...they did the catwalk thing, then the queen with her partner walked then they stop to do their pose mah, then the partner twirl her like twice or trice then they do the dip (the one where the guy bent forward and girl bent backward and the guy support the girl thing), we were all impressed lah, it looked so smooth and natural! haha...then the next two 'couple', i can't really rmb which was the one that acted cute...all of us were stunned lah....then darrel and his partner's turn (our table had a hand in sabotaging him by voting for him, haha!), darrel took damn long to take off his jacket and to arrange it so that he can catwalk down, diao...his partner, prob because wearing full length dress, wasn't walking as smoothly lah...then they posed and darrel almost fall over cause they were supposed to be leaning onto each other, prob missed the girl's back by a little...haha...then the last 'couple', the girl was our ps pres wor...then they posed, and the guy threw his jacket (at his fren taking their pic) before twirling her into his arms, like her back to his front and his arms around her with her arms with his and they were like hugging super close! (no, they aren't an actual couple, but yeah)...looked smooth lah, but like abit violent and too swift? that couple gang hao got the ms and mr classic...haha...but all the finalists like didn't eat the dinner leh, cause they were outside the door and wasn't at the table most of the time...
all of us were busy taking pictures during the course of the dinner lah...all the food were served and very little pple were actually sitting down to eat...haha...farid looked like some businessman, then he went, ''er so you all want to buy some insurance?'' haha! damn funny...but at least the guys in our class all dressed decently well, some of the other class de arh, never even wear a shirt, wow lah...
the emcee when giving the queen and king the prize (okay, its the teacher who gave) told the king (cause his crown dropped out mah) to ''please put on his tiara''...then the other emcee went ''crown''...haha, all of us laughed lah...
the dance part, the prom king and queen supposedly was to start the thing off...then the slow dance, only they were dancing lah, then seemed so awkward...later, the more hip hop part, then other pple went, but mostly just went to take pics only lor...got this guy opened an umbrella cause the song was about what, being your umbrella or smthg de...so he very zai, and lame and opened his...
meet ys, wil, kh and jh at the waiting area after the thing ended and we took a few pics...ys looked like he really did attend the thing lor...dressed up...haha...then after a while, we went home lor...mag, asha, helen and me took my father's car, the four of us squeezed into the back seat...haha...
so yar, pretty fun lah, i guess :)
